Throwback Thursday: Prince Hamlet (7/8)

Funny how I ran into this on Youtube last night. During my senior year in high school (2 years ago), we recreated Hamlet - rewriting the script and adding a modern twist. The movie wasn't shot with anything special, the acting is horrible, but we sure had fun and went out of our senior year with a bang. Plus check the special effects and editing, we were ahead of our time!

Last Sunday we celebrated Kimberly's (@kimburlieanne) birthday by first going with her to get her long awaited Hello Kitty tattoo from Mike D. She took it well, despite the pre-tattoo chatter, she took it better than most females - props to her. Justin got inked as well, getting his three month half-sister's name inked on his wrist. He just keeps adding to the collection. At least this time its done by a credited and respected tattoo artist, not a fresh out of jail, bald guy in a laundry room in the projects. We'll tell the story when the time is right.

As soon as we finished the whole tattoo process, we went straight to dinner at a long time favorite, Segovia. Ordered the usual churrasco and stuffed lobster, and washed it down with sangria. Definitely a dope day.

It looks like Mr. Khloe Kardashian and the NBA's current sixth-man of the year is heading down south.

The Lakers, ~~a day~~ 12-hours after pulling out of the Chris Paul sweepstakes, have reportedly traded forward Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks for the their 2012 first round draft pick. Odom, who averaged 14.4 points a game and 8.7 rebounds, was a centerpiece of LA's first attempt at landing Chris Paul - the trade would send Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol to New Orleans for Chris Paul.

Sidenote: Why would the Lakers send a main piece of their successful championship run(s) to the defending champions? It just doesn't make sense, especially since they've officially pulled out of the trade talks with Chris Paul. Maybe Mitch Kupchak has a trick or two up his sleeve that we don't know about.

NBA Trade Talk: Tyson Chandler heading to the Knicks

If you've been following this NBA season's free agency bonanza, then Tyson heading to the New York Knicks shouldn't be new news.

The 7-foot-1 center stated Friday that he will not be singing with the reigning champions, Dallas Mavericks. Chandler will instead opt out to join Melo and Stat in New York - Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets were courting Chandler as well .

According to sources close to the negotiation talks, Chandler will be taking a form of a sign-and-trade that will take back a low salaried player from the Knicks. Rumors are Chandler will be singing a 4-year $58 million deal, which might send Knicks veteran PG Chauncey Billups to the waivers to clear cap room under the new amnesty clause. Multiple sources also state that the Knicks have dealt forward Ronny Turiaf to clear payroll.

Sidenote: The Mavs are losing one of the main reasons they won a championship last year. Chandler's an athletic, big man who defends well, filling in the front court void that the Knicks had coming into this season.

NBA Trade Talk: Shane Battier to Miami Heat

Memphis Grizzlies' forward Shane Battier is taking his talents to south beach.

Battier took time on Thursday to announce via Twitter that he's planning on signing with the Heat once free agency opens Friday afternoon. The Heat, who has been meeting with Battier since Monday, won the vet from a number of contending teams including the San Antonio Spurs and the Orlando Magic.

Sidenote: This is a great trade for both Battier and the Heat. The former Duke guard will fit the role as a knockdown shooter, plus he's a great defender that fits Spoelstra's defensive system. Also, he'll have a better chance to end his career with a ring compared to if he stayed in Memphis. As far as the Heat, they just got a whole lot better.

The 2012 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees were announced this morning. This year's class, which totaled 11 artists, included Hip Hop's Beastie Boys, Guns N' Roses, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, just to name a few.

Laura Nyro is the only female artist to be inducted from a ballot that included Joan Jett, Rufus and Chaka Khan, and Donna Summer. Eric B. and Rakim also received the cold shoulder, and didn't make the cut - very upsetting to say the least. There's always next year!

From the way I see it, this is going to be easy work for Floyd. More likely going to be, in typical Mayweather style, an easy untouched 12 round massacre. Styles makes fights, and Ortiz is tailor made for Money. Remember fight night is on Saturday, September 17!
